Indicators of Climate Change Impacts on Southern Ontario Christmas Tree Farms

The purpose of this study is to identify the impacts of climate change on Christmas Tree growers in southern Ontario. We aim to better understand the experiences that these growers face with the hopes of developing an ecological calendar to better assist farmers by documenting future climatic changes across regions and agricultural sectors. Additionally, we hope to increase collaboration between Christmas Tree growers and local Conservation Authorities to advance conservation initiatives and increase Christmas Tree productivity. This study contributes to ongoing research to address gaps in knowledge related to how climate change is and will continue to, affect the Christmas Tree industry, specifically within Ontario.
